Better Together

Image
For my husband I made this cup with polymere clay letters, although I don't think he will ever use it. Especially not when he has meetings in Teams or Google Meet for work, haha! I guess it will end up as a little flower vase, which is totally fine with me.     ~*~ My Heart Bird Feeder was featured by:    Sum of Their Stories Sew Can Do Let's Add Sprinkles The Apple Street Cottage Grandma Ideas All Things Kitchen Imparting Grace The Answer is Chocolate The Cottage Market Funky Junk Interiors ly

Monstera Coasters

Image
Last week I told you about my other blog, chores and checking off lists. One of the things on the list that made the checked off list, were these Monstera coasters for underneath plant pots. The coasters are made from polymer clay. I mixed two colors, rolled it flat, and with a template that I drew by hand before, I've cut the leaves out with a sharp knife. ~*~ Frida was featured by Creative Jewish Mom ! Thanks, Sara!

Made It! #20

Image
~ I love Pinterest and would like to make one thing every week that I find on Pinterest. Since I have lots of pins (that, until now, I've just pinned and only that), I hope this will be a way to reduce the amount of pins on my boards . It can be anything, from cooking to crochet and from sewing to paper crafts. Just small projects that don't take weeks to make ~ For last week's Made It! I crocheted a bag with a wave pattern, the big waves you can surf. To give it a surf theme even more, I made a Surf Board Key Chain this week.  www.betweennapsontheporch.net The Pipeline Bag itself was featured by Sew Can Do , Plucky's Second Thought and by Scrapality this week! Thanks, Cheryl, Jessica and Andrea!! ~*~ On Alisa Burke's blog , that I follow for quite some years now, I saw this great side dish idea: a fruit pizza. That's what I'm going to make for next week.

Valentine's Heart Pendant

Image
On Pinterest I saw this heart pendant that was sold by an Etsy store once. The Etsy Store seemed empty and unused now, but I really liked the heart and because I had some polymer clay left overs from other projects, I gave it a try myself. Just altered it a bit (making the breastbone more looking like a breastbone and I placed the heart behind the ribcage) and now I have my very own pendant.  www.betweennapsontheporch.net

Little Rabbit Necklace

Image
The thing my daughter really, really, really wants for her birthday is a little rabbit and as y ou could read in the before post, we said yes. But Little Hare, as she has named it (just love that!), has to stay with its mother for one more week until he's old enough to leave the nest. For the time being, so she can get a little rabbit for her birthday nevertheless, I made this necklace for her to wear. And to dream about Little Hare everytime she looks at it.    www.betweennapsontheporch.net ~*~ This week one of my Embroidery Rings was featured by The Cottage Market ! More Star Garlands

Image
Yesterday I bought a beautiful turquoise bottle and some fake cherry blossom, both to match with my Cherry Blossom Trunk.  I have two more bottles and today I made some items to style the bottles for Christmas.  The Peace Sign is made of a piece of cut cardboard that I covered with little rhinestones. The little stars are made of polymer clay. I cut the stars with a little cookie cutter.  www.betweennapsontheporch.net The star hanging from the large bottle in the back, I made a while ago. A couple of weeks ago I bought a little deer skull. The embellishing I did right after I bought it, but to bring the deer in X-mas mood as much as I am, today I made him a nice garland to trim up his little antlers, too. ~*~ This week my Star Pendant and Star Garland were featured by Rooted in Thyme and The Cottage Market !! Thanks, Jodi & Stan and Andrea!
