Howling at the Moon

  Last year I bought a couple of dry flower bouquets and combined them to make a larger bouquet. I love the natural colors of dried flowers.   I used up all dried flowers, but didn't use all of the wheat and grass, so from what was left I made this Wheat & Grass Wreath, that I wrote a post about a couple of weeks ago.   I still had some leftovers and with a bit of clay I made these little dried flower decorations. Knead a piece of clay to the form you like it to be, stick in the flowers, finished. A ten seconds craft everyone can make. I especially like the one below, which I made of poppy seed pods.

Stash Buster 16  Last week my youngest daughter, who is still in elementary school, made a little crate at school. There's a school subject called manual dextery and apparently one of the things they teach there is carpentry. Looks like my daughter has talent for wood and nails (not inherited by me, that's for sure); I thought the little crate so pretty that I wanted it to use for Fall decoration. This week I crocheted a couple of pumpkins to fill the little crate with.   Patterns: I didn't use instructions, but you can find patterns for similar looking pumpkins here and here Yarn : various colors by Katia    

Stash Buster 15   May I present the stash buster of stashbusters: the chain link garland!     And so simple to make! Chain 6 plus 1 for turning Row 1-40: sc in every stitch Cut of yarn long enough to be able to sew both ends together  Make as much as you want your garlang to be long Sew ends of every piece together, but in such a way that you form links That's it!

 A while ago I made a top, called the Granny Go Round Jumper, for my daughter. I really liked the pattern and style, so I made one for myself, too, but in different colors, though.  I especially like the ribbed trim of the top.  Pattern: Granny Go Round Jumper by Iron Lamb Yarn: Royal Black and Royal Green by Zeeman   ~*~ Walter the Squirl was featured by Annemaries Haakblog and Creative Jewish Mom !
