Sugar Skull Flower Pots

Every now and than I love it to buy some craft supplies and sweets and cookies to do a whole afternoon of making nice things with my daughters of now eight and five years old. Before I get them from school I prepare the kitchen table. Paint, pencils, paper etc ready to use, sweets in bowls, cookies on a plate, lemonade at hand, so we can start right away when we come home.

Today I got terracotta flower pots to paint sugar skulls on. I just love sugar skulls! And with both Halloween and Dia de los Muertos coming soon, I thought today was a good day to make a start.

  1. That sounds great, those crafty moments with your kids!
Your flower pot looks fantastic with the white cyclamen.
But you didn't paint the inside of the pot ?( like your kids did )! ;-)

  4. This is really unique.. Aren't you afraid that the plants might get scared and jump out and run away? No, really it is a great idea.
