~ I love Pinterest and would like to make one thing every week that I find on
Pinterest. Since I have lots of pins (that, until now, I've just pinned
and only that), I hope this will be a way to reduce the amount of pins
on my boards. It can be anything, from cooking to crochet and from
sewing to paper crafts. Just small projects that don't take weeks to
Last week I told you about the Haasje look-a-like mug cozy I planned to make for Easter. Haasje, our Flemish Giant is my youngest daughter's bunny, so of course she wanted the mug cozy. I had to make it brown, though, just like Haasje.
My oldest daughter has a cat, Dolly (yes,
named after Dolly Parton, I'm a fan) and after making the bunny mug cozy above for my youngest, I remembered just in time a crochet cat I had pinned a while ago, because she really wants it. It's from Dr Seuss (pattern here).
You wouldn't guess it, but my daughters had holidays again these last two weeks and because experience learns that May/June is the best time to travel these days in Europe, because of the heat we had the couple of years in summer, we went on vacation. One of the countries on our bucketlist was Slovenie so off we went. We flew to Innsbruck, Austria, hired a car and drove to the Alpen Zoo, because we had to kill a couple of hours before our appartment would be ready.
Some pictures of Innsbruck and Igls
The third day we went to Slovenia and to be honest: I wish we had spend all vacation there. What a beautiful country! Green, clean, friendly people, good food, very outdoory, comfortable houses, just great! The only sad thing was that we had lots of rain, but even with rain, we had a superb holiday!
Bled, the famous lake and the castle
Finally, finally, fi-nal-ly I finished my Peppermint Skirt (in the original pattern it's a LARGE throw), which I started making this summer. I hate projects that take lots of time, but this one looked so very nice that I just had to make it. So I started happily and crocheted for some days in a row, but than boredom came in, I saw something else I wanted to make and the throw found a home in the corner of the living room, hidden in a plastic bag, together with the hook and the yarn. But I really wanted to have it for X-mas, so with a lot of unwillingness I started again and finished it yesterday! Just in time!!
