Polymer Clay Ornaments

Because I live in The Netherlands, where people celebrate Sinterklaas, especially when they have children that still believe the saint is a real figure, trees are only decorated after Sinterklaas has returned to Spain, on December 6th. Most people feel it's definitely not done to set up the tree before that date. To be honest: I feel that way, too.

So, just last week I bought a tree, it's my first real tree in years, and decorated it the same day. Most of the decoration are regular glass balls, but from polymer clay I made a couple of ornaments myself.

  In the last months I saw him on social media regularly: the Plague Doctor, often accompanied by the words 'Wash Your Hands'. I doubt that plague doctors ever said that, because in their time running water wasn't available for everyone. Crochet Bag

After making this little lunch bag for me, my oldest daughter wanted a bag of her own of course. Vintage Dress

Before I went on vacation a couple of weeks ago, I had a plan to make some clothes for myself instead of the usual dresses for my girls (although I made dresses for them, too). I wanted to make a top (check, see here ), a skirt (check, see here ), pants (still to make) and two dresses. The first dress I made a couple of weeks ago (so check, see here ) and the second dress I finished today! This vintage pattern I saw in the july issue of Burda. I only changed some little things here and there in the contrasting lines. The dress I wanted to make initially was one with busks and things, but when I saw this one, I must have this one too. The one with the busks can wait till the next summer. Or maybe I'll make that one anyway in a couple of weeks. We'll see. ~*~ This week my bracelet is featured by Blissful Bucket List .
