Making Progress

Last week I showed you some crochet flowers (called African flowers, I know now). I want to make another pillow cover and I'm making good progress. This is what I have now:

I wrote a
tutorial
on how to crochet the flowers.
You can find it here.

In anticipation of our trip to Menorca, I painted this:

Fences like this can be found anywhere on the island. They're made of split branches of pine-trees.

    1. Hi Mrs Mar,
The flowers are not very difficult to make, so it's a nice project for a beginner. Good luck and show me the result when you're finished! Thanks for visiting. Liz

    1. Thanks, Teena. At first I hesitated about the grey, but I think it makes the colors of the flowers more lively. Liz

  10. what a talented lady you are. You do everything that I truly enjoy and love - crochet and paintings. Love that fence one. It would take a lot more than tutoring for me to learn crochet at this stage of my life. I will just enjoy seeing yours.

  16. I'm visiting from The Tablescaper. Beautiful flowers you've made! I love to crochet too and would love a tutorial on how you put the flowers together for the pillow!

    1. Putting the flowers together is very easy! Crochet 1tc per loop along the whole flower (the grey part in my flowers). Between the petals ch1.
The edges are more flat now, more like hexagons. You connect the hexagons with 1 dc through both loops on either side of the hexagon (the black part).

      Thanks for visiting! Liz
