Flower Pot Heater

This week I saw this Flower Pot Heater on You Tube, with instructions how to make it and all. Since the weatherpeople here are forecasting a real horror winter in the Netherlands, where I live, (guess we had to be punished after a great, almost everlasting summer) I thought: 'Well, why not give it a try'. I had some Flower Pots left from the summer ánd I always have tea lights somewhere around the house ánd I can always count on my husband for screws, nuts, wash rings and that kind of stuff, so I could start right away. This is how it turned out. Gives a lot of heat, costs about nothing and I think it looks pretty nice, too.

Want to make your own heater? You can find instructions HERE.

  1. What a great idea! This flower pot heater looks much safer and prettier than other types of heaters I've seen! It's good to be prepared. Thanks for sharing.

  3. Neat! I had no idea, will give this a try. We get bad weather off and on all winter in NC. Thanks for linking up to Snickerdoodle Sunday!

    1. Yes, there comes lots of heat from it! You can warming up a small room with it.

  6. I would be very careful about putting this on a wooden surface. These "heaters" get very hot and it would be very easy for it to burn the wood or catch fire. I would find a fireproof mat to set it on.
