Red Pencil Skirt

Two weeks ago I told I you I liked sewing so much after making a vintage looking dress, that I wanted to make some more clothes for myself. I chose to make the following projects: two dresses, a pencil skirt, cigarette pants and a top. The top I made last week and today I finished the pencil skirt. This is the result:

The fabric is red cotton sateen, which I think is just perfect for this skirt. It was my first attempt to sew in a zipper, but it worked out quite well. The pattern is from Burda.

  3. It is wonderful you can sew and make your own cloths. I wish I could. You have an original well made item that is one of a kind. When I was younger, my mother made all our cloths. The stores just do not have cloths for an older person.
