Cactus Invitations

As you will know by now the theme my oldest daughter chose for her birthday were Cacti. All birthday activities are bit spread this year, because on her birthday she was on survival camp and after that we were on holidays, so it was only this week that she could treat her class mates (more about that in a later post) and give her friends a party invitation. 

After drawing lots of cacti for her Friends & Family Party I didn't feel like doing the same for the party for her friends from school. I thought it would be a great idea to buy a couple of small cacti with small terra cotta pots, hang a card with the invitation from them and give that to her friends. Very simple, but it was a great success!!

  In the last months I saw him on social media regularly: the Plague Doctor, often accompanied by the words 'Wash Your Hands'. I doubt that plague doctors ever said that, because in their time running water wasn't available for everyone. Crochet Bag

After making this little lunch bag for me, my oldest daughter wanted a bag of her own of course. Vintage Dress

Before I went on vacation a couple of weeks ago, I had a plan to make some clothes for myself instead of the usual dresses for my girls (although I made dresses for them, too). I wanted to make a top (check, see here ), a skirt (check, see here ), pants (still to make) and two dresses. The first dress I made a couple of weeks ago (so check, see here ) and the second dress I finished today! This vintage pattern I saw in the july issue of Burda. I only changed some little things here and there in the contrasting lines. The dress I wanted to make initially was one with busks and things, but when I saw this one, I must have this one too. The one with the busks can wait till the next summer. Or maybe I'll make that one anyway in a couple of weeks. We'll see. ~*~ This week my bracelet is featured by Blissful Bucket List .
