The Sugar Skull is Finished!
A couple of weeks ago I showed you a half finished Sugar Skull that I embroidered. After some weeks of stitching, stitching and stitching again it’s now finally finished! Here’s the result.
I found this great black frame to go with the skull. It matches perfectly!
I know, pride is one of the seven sins, but
secretly I’m a little proud of my Sugar Skull.

DeleteOoohh, how marvelous, eerily beautiful! DÃa de los Muertos is not something I grew up with here in Canada, but I've really found myself getting into the spirit of in recent years (this one in particular) - taking a cue from our neighbours to the south - and think I'll see if our local library has (or can bring in) that book, as I'd love to create one of these festive cross stitches, too.

I didn't grow up with Dia de los Muertos either, since I live in the Netherlands, but I always loved sugar skulls. They're so colorful and detailed! Thanks for visiting, Jessica! Have a nice weekend! Liz
