Ghent

After a weekend Bruges this summer, we LOVE Belgium, so when we asked ourselves where to go for a nice weekend out, Ghent came to our mind immediately. So two weeks ago we stepped into the car and drove of. Here are some pictures:

      My (little) kids were with us and I think Bruges is nicer for kids , but if you're with adults Ghent is better. But both places are beautiful, have very friendly people and great restaurants.

Last week I already showed you I started to crochet this vanes, but now it's finished and I wrote a tutorial for it. Like? This is how you make them: Ch  8, sl st in the first stitch to form a ring. *Ch 10, sl st in ring, ch 7, sl st in ring*; repeat * *; ch 10, sl st in ring, chain 7, sl st in first ch of 10. You should have three spaces of 10 chains and three spaces of 7 chains now. Change color.  Ch 3 (this counts as 1 dc) in 10 ch space, 3 dc in same pace, 3 dc in next space,* 4 dc in next space, ch 5, 4 dc in same space, 3 dc in next space*;  repeat  * *; 4 dc in next space, ch 5 and close with sl st in  first ch3. ~ I love Pinterest and would like to make one thing every week that I find on Pinterest. Since I have lots of pins (that, until now, I've just pinned and only that), I hope this will be a way to reduce the amount of pins on my boards . It can be anything, from cooking to crochet and from sewing to paper crafts. Just small projects that don't take weeks to make ~  Last week I told you about the Haasje look-a-like mug cozy I planned to make for Easter. Haasje, our Flemish Giant is my youngest daughter's bunny, so of course she wanted the mug cozy.
