Made It #5

~I love Pinterest and would like to make one thing that I find on Pinterest every week. Since I have a lot of pins, that I've just pinned and only that, I hope this will be a way to reduce the amount of pins on my boards. It can by anything, from cooking to crochet and from sewing to papter crafts. Just small projects that doesn't take weeks to make~

And here's the scrub I promised to make last week!

In the end I used the scrub I found on Pinterest only as inspiration, because I sticked to my own recipe. Instead of olive oil, I used cocos oil. For the ginger I didn't use essential oil, but fresh grounded ginger. Keeps your skin youthful, they say, and who doesn't want that? To give it some color, I used a couple of drops of yellow and green food coloring.

So here's my tutorial:

1 part cocos oil

1 part sugar

a couple of drops lemon grass essential oil

fresh grounded ginger (I used a 10 cm root)

some drops of yellow and green food coloring

Just mix the ingredients and you're set!

A while ago my eye fell on this great hat. My daughter (and I, too) love plaid shirts and now I found a matching hat! We didn't have much of a winter this year (or the five years before, for that matter), but you can wear a hat just for beauty, don't you agree?

You can find the pattern here, in case you want to crochet along
