Howling at the Moon

Next week there will be a Garage Sale in the little village I grew up in and just as we did last year and the year before, my daughters and me signed up to participate. My daughters are busy making bracelets at the moment and I'm crocheting market bags, dream catchers and key chains for my daughters to sell (and of course they can keep the money; I think it's just a nice experience for them to learn how to earn their own money).  www.betweennapsontheporch.net The Ice Cream Cones I made before. From the moment I saw this beautiful Tunisian Crochet Feathers made by Poppy and Bliss I wanted to make them. The Fruit Pizza ! Not made once, but twice this week! Great summer side dish! www.betweennapsontheporch.net ~*~ For next week I want to make Lemonade . Since we went to Sicily, I love everything that has lemon in it and with the warm weather we have here lately, it's the best drink to satisfy your thirst.

Sometimes I find something nice, beautiful or fun to make and buy matching yarn and sometimes I find yarn and seek a pattern that makes the yarn show off better. The latter was te case with this Boho Shawl. The yarn has different colors and there's a very fine golden thread braided through the yarn. To give the shawl a more boho look, I bought little golden pendants to attach to the ends of the shawl. I love the result.    www.betweennapsontheporch.net I found the pattern here !

Last week a couple of girls came over to learn to crochet. Besides the yarn and the hooks, I also took care of the snacks and drinks. One of the things I made, was Saffron Peach Ice Tea. Being a real fan of ice tea, I love to experiment with taste and ingredients, so when I saw this recipe on Pinterest , I had to try. It's delicious!
