Jewelry

My oldest (4) is invited for her first party-without-parents at her school friend’s house and she already has the nerves for the moment I leave after bringing her, although the party is a week from now. “But what will Cathy’s mom do when I’m naughty?”, is her main concern. Just being obedient is not an option, it seems, haha. For some reason she never worries about ‘what would happen when she’s naugthy’ when it involves her own mom (that’s me, yes). Obviously I’m not strict enough. Ahem…

Anyway, besides the present bought in the store, it’s always fun to make something myself. Some jewelry would be nice, I thought. I bought some strings, little clasps, cabochons, beads, etc and this is what I made:

Necklace with ice cream charm

Hairpins with cherries

Hairpins with strawberries

Nothing difficult, just buy and paste.

The bracelet is made of braided silver wire, beads and heart charms.
I found the inspiration here, at a blog called Creative Passage, but I didn’t make it with a crochet hook, like in the before mentioned blog. I just braided three silver wires with beads and charms threaded on it together and put a clasp on both ends.

The necklace and hairpins are for my daughter's friend, but I keep the bracelet for myself :-)!
