Felt Bunny Treats

As mentioned before in the past weeks, my daughter's fifth birthday is coming up, but I'm getting out of inspiration when it comes to treats. Just in time I found this Bunny Treats, as there are just a couple of days left to make them.

My daughter (almost 5) is asking for a little rabbit for ages, but because we have two cats that both are quite fond of a little game, we have hesitated for months.
At NYE we had a party with some friends and when the time was there, we let up a wish balloon. My little one came up to me and said 'Mommy, you know what I wished for? I wished I'll get a real little rabbit for my birthday. And I will call him Little Hare.'
Be honest, who can say no to such?! So the rabbit will come! It won't be little, though, because it has to be able to scare the cats off, so we choose to get a Flemish Giant. It has to stay with its mother for two more weeks, but pictures will follow soon!

Anyway, because of this present, the theme of the treats had to be something to do with rabbits of course. Excellent treat, this felt bunny bags, that I filled with jelly beans!

  3. So sweet and a sweet story too! Tonight I was on a walk through out quiet city with my daughter and all of a sudden on a little grassy hill I saw a large rabbit which looked like it belonged to someone. I did think about trying to catch it, but decided against it, though it was so very cute. And then of course my daughter reminded me that a few years ago I promised my kids a rabbit......the problem is we don't have any yard where it could enjoy grass etc, so I am wondering how kind that would be..... not to mention that we usually go away for a good month and that is a long time to give your rabbit to someone!

    1. We had to think about it a lot, too. We will keep the rabbit in the house in winter and when it's warmer it can live in the garden (in a cage). My best friend is living next to me, she takes care of our animals when we're on vacation and such.
Tomorrow we're going to pick Little Hare up!
