Rope Plant Hangers

For some reason every plant that I ever bought in my life, ended up dead after just a couple of weeks. Time and time again I bought a plant every now and then, to see if my vibrations, or aura, or spirit companions, or whatever had a better outcome on a new plant in my house and I'm very happy to say that since about six months such is the case! Not all plants, I must say (the ficus for example still hasn't a long life when it lives in my house, and I really don't know why), but most of them stay alive, and not only that, they grow! 

In the town I live is the most adorable little plant shop, with all kinds of special plants and exotic flowers. Sometimes I just find that I deserve new plants, because apparantly I take such good care of them lately, so yesterday I went in and bought three new ones. Because the window sills are full, I had to change to hanging plants, and besides those two I bought a little terrarium. 

For the hanging plants I made hangers myself by rope. 




Also in the same little plant shop: these adorable little chickens, that almost look like the real ones. So cute!

Lunch Bag made of Soft Jaguar Pluche

Today was a very good day as regards the mail! My mailbox contained: 1 . In the first place: a postcard from a good friend. And since most people send messages by e-mail, I like it when I get some real post! 2.      Fabrics!   Because you know how it is: now that I have to work on party stuff for the upcoming birthday, the only things I feel like making are things that are not really necessary at the moment and don’t have anything to do with party things at all. So I ordered some fabrics. And so I made the bag today that’s already waiting for months to be made and wouldn’t have mind if it had to wait another month to be made.  It's made of jaguar pluche and pink cotton  and is lined with dotted cotton.  It has a cover inside made of the same dotted cotton. The Twirl Factor

Month after month I was addicted to crochet, but this week I rediscovered sewing. The craving for sewing comes when I find a beautiful fabric that I must have or when I see a really nice pattern. This week I saw both, so I started sewing two different dresses. The first one I show you now, the second one is minutes from being finished and will be shown later this week. I used about 3x1½ meters of fabrics for this double dress (will be worn by a two year old), which has a major twirl factor. I love the combination of colors of this fabric: pink, fuchsia, red, orange, lime, aqua and black.
